Weaving in Atacho

Atacho, El Salvador is an artisan town with weaving, painting, basket making and embroidery work in the small shops. We watched a team of weavers place new warp threads on a loom. Atacho means the place of spring water.

Wow, Dena! These looms are cool! I wonder how many yards of warp they had on that back beam. I've been spinning and weaving linen lately. Am at conference right now (teaching) and catching up on blogs while drinking my am coffee.

Watch Amazon for the book. Coming soon! (Oct)
